
When you first create an account, you are asked to enter basic information related to your testing experience, skills, interests, hardware/software, etc. The required areas are:



After registering for a new account, after you log in for the first time, your profile will show to be less than 100% complete. You will need to fill in other areas of your account, namely the “Personal Information” and “Experience & Skills” sections to get your profile up to 90% completeness. A profile with at least 90% completeness will yield better results when matching you with testing opportunities. See FAQ below for a breakdown of profile components.
If you are an existing uTester who previously had a complete profile but have not yet filled out some of the newer areas may result in a lower your profile completeness. You may update these new sections like “Personal Information”, “Experience & Skills”, and “Testing Expertise” at any time by logging into your account and editing these areas in your “Account and Settings” page.
Updating your profile on a regular basis by adding new devices and software you own is crucial to proper profile maintenance. Removing items you no longer own is also very important. For more information on updating and maintaining your profile, click here.

Note, for example if you choose to not participate in mobile testing, and not input a mobile device, your profile will not reach 100%, but this lower profile completeness will not prevent you from joining opportunities in your chosen testing areas.
