Write a Review (App Review) - When and How?

In addition to reporting bugs and submitting test case results, some test cycles provide the option for testers to "write a review" of the customer application (also known as App Review). An app review is a combination of qualitative and quantitative feedback of an application - for example, usability & design, features & functionality, and application performance. If the "Write a Review" option is available, you may click it to begin your review. Follow the simple instructions on the page to rate each category based on a 5-star scale and provide qualitative feedback in the appropriate text boxes.

Important Note: Always provide honest and detailed feedback in your app review, as opposed to "fluffy" feedback (i.e. inflating your feedback). If an application needs improvement, please be honest, yet professional, when writing your review.

Once you complete a review, the customer has the option of marking it "helpful" or "not helpful." You will earn $4 for every completed app review marked helpful or unmarked ("not helpful" app reviews will not be paid).

One important note: Your reviews do in fact impact your tester rating. For example, if you submit five reviews and at least three of them are marked helpful, your rating will receive an bump to the positive. Therefore, these reviews mark another way of demonstrating value to customers and also influencing your test rating. Aside from ratings, app reviews will result in additional payment of $4.00 if they are not marked "unhelpful" by the customer. Please take these reviews seriously and use them as opportunities to develop your review and feedback skills, in addition to boosting your tester rating.
