- Approved bugs: Payout per approved bug will depend on the bug type and your tester rating.
- Approved test cases: Some test cycles have test cases that testers need to complete (pass/fail/comment).
- Bonuses: Some test cycles offer a bonus payout per completed test cases and/or approved reports. Bonuses are paid out shortly after your reports or test cases have been approved.
- Usability surveys: Besides functional or load testing, some customers also perform usability testing. Typically this comes in the form of a usability survey in which testers provide feedback on the user interface of the application. Testers will be paid for the completion of these usability surveys.
- Other reports: In addition to bugs, usability surveys, and test cases completed, here is a sample list of other reports that you may receive payments for: test case creation (manual), automated test script creation, security reports, localization reports, load script writing, etc.
In addition to submitting reports, you may also be invited to Bug Fix Verification test cycles. In these instances, you will see a test cycle with the words "Bug Fix Verification" noted in the test cycle name. When you click on this test cycle, you are presented with bugs that the customer has requested to be verified against a fix. Similar to the way test cases are claimed and completed, you will be able to claim a predetermined number of bugs that match your testing environment. There will likely be a predetermined limit for the number of verifiers per bug (first come first serve), so do not be alarmed if you find most bugs to be "Not Claimable."
At this time, all bug fix verifications are treated as test cases and paid out at $1.75. Additionally, only select testers are invited to these Bug Fix Verification test cycles, including testers who originally submitted the "fixed" bugs.
