How much do I get paid for my testing efforts?

Testers are paid for approved bugs, approved reports, surveys, test case creation, and completed test cases just to name a few. The payout per approved bug report is dependent upon the base payout rate, additional payouts based on the customer's assessment, as well as your tester rating (testers with higher ratings will have a higher payout rate). As your tester rating changes on a daily basis, your bug reports will be paid at whatever rates were in effect when the bug was filed. Every project may differ in payout structure.

The payment details are noted in each test cycle page in the right pane of the overview. Additionally, certain projects may also provide bonuses for completed test cases and approved bugs. For projects with bonuses, they will be paid out shortly after your bugs (or test cases) are approved. For example, if the project guarantees $50 for completing a test case and your approved submission only yielded $10, you will be paid out a $40 bonus shortly after your test case is approved (in addition to the $10 payment of the approved test case). Lastly, there may be times in which the standard payout per bug is altered - either increased or decreased (in less than 1% of all test cycles). In these instances, we will lock the test cycle and re-activate it again so that all testers will be notified of project changes.Your bug payout will depend on when you submitted the bug, whether it is before or after the payout increase/decrease. Additionally, we may add more testers depending on participation levels at that time. Therefore, be mindful of the payouts before participating in a test cycle, especially after it has been locked and reactivated. Please read through the Overview carefully before participating in all projects. More information on tiered bug approvals can be found here.
